Ronnie "The Rottweiler" Kerner Aims at Billy Mitchem in Pro Debut

The wait is finally over. After much anticipation, "The King of the Four-Rounders" Ronnie "The Rottweiler" Kerner is set to conquer the boxing world in his sanctioned debut. His opponent will be Billy Mitchem, an experienced veteran who has seen action with Roy Jones Jr. and Mitch "Blood" Green.

Kerner is scheduled to be co-featured with his close friend Bobby Gunn. The date is Saturday, November 17th at the ABC Sports Complex in Springfield, Virginia. Kerner will be challenging for the Inaugural WBE Four Round Special Heavyweight Championship Title, the first of many titles Kerner plans to annex.

As an unsanctioned smoker fighter, Kerner compiled a very impressive record of 17-1 (17 KO). He was awarded the NYBSC (New York Boxing Smoker Circuit) Five Borough Championship Belt this Summer at the Inwood Boxing Academy in appreciation of his pugilistic proficiency. Kerner is both relieved and excited to finally get his feet wet. “This is my time to shine!, exclaimed the eager warrior. “If you enjoyed Mike Tyson, you are going to love me."

Kerner says, “I've been approved to fight for a series of four-round sanctioned belts, so all my fights will be for titles. I don’t plan on leaving anything up to the judges. I don't have time to start out where everyone else did. They're giving me the opportunity based on what I'm capable of."

"The Rottweiler says, “It took Roy Jones two rounds to get him and he took Green four rounds. "To me, this is a one-round fight. He won't make it back to his corner."

Kerner hopes to use this high-experienced opponent to demonstrate his fan-appeal. “This was the guy I wanted to fight. I'm ready to fight a seasoned fighter. I want to show the world that I am for real."
